Kirsten Shute

Kirsten Shute started creating batiks in 2006, using fabric dye and wax to create vivid and painterly designs on cotton and other fabrics. Her interest in batik was encouraged and developed by her aunt Sarah Hale, a prominent Canadian artist in this medium.

She also makes intricate patterned jewelry, primarily using glass beads.

Her love of art led her to join the Dorval Artisans Guild in 2014.
